Asiatic cheetah(Acinonyx jubatus venaticus) is one of the rarest felines of the world. There is only less than 100 individual of them remaining. The Asiatic cheetah is a critically endangered subspecies of the cheetah found today only in Iran, with some occasional sightings in Balochistan, Pakistan. It lives mainly in Iran's vast central desert in fragmented pieces of remaining suitable habitat.

Absolutely stunning! I love the relaxed pose and how it is chilling by the long grass.
Superb. Hope the Iranian cheetah can recover...
There is still some hope for that.Educating the people of the habitat areas is the main problem here.
This is such a lovely painting!
Wow, less than 100 let?!? That is very few.
Thank you so much!

This is gorgeous, love the details.
The cute face looks like a female Cheetah to me.
Great painting my friend !
Absolutely beautiful! My favorite animal of all time.
You're welcome! As a citizen of the last Asiatic Cheetahs' stronghold I have the duty to support the occasion!
No matter if the animals you paint are living or dead, your skills are unparalleled! Simply wonderful!
Wow!Have people introduced African cheetahs to replace them (like they did with the ostrich to replace the extinct Asiatic ostrich)?
Well, actually there is so little difference between the two subspecies. However, the Asiatic cheetahs are somehow slenderer and their fur in some areas is a bit longer than the Africans. The two subspecies have been divided since 35000 years ago.
I think it would be better to conserve original Asiatic cheetahs than re-introducing African ones to the previously natural habitats like India and Arabian peninsula.
this is truly beautiful the colors are really impressive !
Very beautiful *u*
